联合国日 United Nations Day

10月24日是联合国日，是《联合国宪章》在1945年生效的周年纪念日。值此之际，作为联合国的创始成员国之一，比利时想重申：比利时始终坚持以联合国为中心，拥护高效、充满活力和以规则为基础的多边体系。我们致力于与国际机构和其他国家，如中国，共同解决多边问题。在当今全球化的世界中，通过国际合作来解决一国无法解决的问题，例如新肺炎疫情、气候变化和维护国际和平，比以往任何时候都更加重要。

On the United Nations Day, we celebrate the entry into force of the United Nations Charter in 1945. As one of the founding members of the UN, Belgium reaffirms on this occasion its support to an efficient, dynamic and rules-based multilateral system with the United Nation at its core. We are committed to working on multilateral issues together with international institutions and other countries, such as the People’s Republic of China. In today’s globalized world, it is more important than ever to cooperate effectively so as to solve issues that can’t be tackled by one country alone, for example the COVID19 pandemic, climate change and the safeguard of international peace.

作为欧盟的首都和多个欧洲以及其他多边组织总部的“根据地”，布鲁塞尔体现了比利时为加强多边主义和国家间合作所付出的努力。多边主义的确印刻在比利时外交政策的基因里，包括在北京，我们的外交官密切关注联合国和其他多边组织在气候变化和可持续发展目标等主题上的工作。为此，比利时驻华使馆一等秘书高森先生最近出席了联合国驻华协调员组织的联合国日活动。

As the capital of the European Union and the seat of several European and other multilateral organizations, Brussels incarnates Belgium’s constant striving for stronger multilateralism and closer cooperation between countries. Multilateralism truly is in the DNA of Belgium’s foreign policy, including in Beijing where our diplomats closely follow the work of the UN and other multilateral organizations on a wide range of topics, such as climate change and SDGs. In this regards, our First Secretary Guillaume Goessens recently attended an event organized by the UN Resident Coordinator in China marking UN Day.
